Modern Haibun and Tanka Prose, edited by Jeffrey Woodward.


Jeffrey Woodward, with the exception of abbreviated stints in California, New Mexico and West Virginia, has resided in the Upper Great Lakes Region for much of his life. He graduated with honors from Eastern Michigan University, having majored in language arts (linguistics) and classical political theory.

His poems and articles have been published widely in North America, Europe and Asia in various periodicals, including Acumen (England), The Christian Century, Envoi (Wales), Frogpond, International Poetry Review, Lines Review (Scotland), Mainichi Daily News (Japan), Modern Haiku, Noon (Japan), Re: Arts & Letters, South Coast Poetry Journal and many others.

His recent work has found a place in such anthologies as Contemporary Haibun (volumes 9 & 10), Dust of Summers: The 2007 Red Moon Anthology and Take Five: Best Contemporary Tanka. He currently edits Modern Haibun & Tanka Prose and Haibun Today.
