Karen J. McClintock owns a gallery and gift shop in a vintage Art Deco building located in the historic Tower District of Fresno, California, USA. She is a literary artist specializing in fine art book covers, illustrations, and portraiture. Her work has been published by Glencoe/McGraw-Hill in the U. S. and Pronk and Associates in Canada. In 2007 Karen completed a landmark series of documentary fine art prints for the Meux Home Museum (National Register of Historic Places), available for sale at the Museum.

Karen's art has graced the covers of a number of MET Press titles, including the eight issues of volumes 2 and 3 of Modern English Tanka journal and the covers of: The Five-Hole Flute, The Dreaming Room, Streetlights, Sixty Sunflowers, Sailor in the Rain and Other Poems, Lip Prints, Eavesdropping, Elvis In Black Leather and others. Her art and her poetry have appeared in haiga (graphic poetry) in Modern English Tanka and Modern Haiga, 2008, often in collaboration with her husband, the poet, Michael McClintock.
